Purpose

These terms govern use of ltlfreightmatch.com. LTL Freight Match is a licensed freight broker. It quotes, books and manages less-than-truckload shipments and tenders them to carriers under its own federal authority.

What the service includes

Collecting shipment details, the call that follows to measure and classify the freight, a written quote, and the booking and management of the shipment once accepted. LTL Freight Match is a licensed freight broker. It quotes, books and manages less-than-truckload shipments, arranges the carrier, and handles the classification, the accessorials and the claim if one is needed.

What it does not include

  • no transportation, pickup, linehaul, delivery, handling or storage of freight;
  • no rate, quote, estimate or price commitment, and no bill of lading;
  • no guarantee that capacity exists on a lane, that a provider responds, or that one is retained;
  • no transit-time commitment and no assumption of cargo liability;
  • no handling of claims for loss, damage, delay or overcharge.

Your obligations

You undertake to describe the freight accurately, including weight, dimensions, commodity and access requirements, and to have the authority to share the shipment details you submit. You also undertake not to tender freight that is hazardous, prohibited or restricted without declaring it as such to the carrier.
