Nature of the service

LTL Freight Match is an independent reference on less-than-truckload shipping for the people who buy it. It moves no freight, holds no brokerage authority and books nothing. It explains what decides a class, which accessorials turn a quote into a different invoice, and how to put competing quotes on the same footing. Shipment details are shared with the carrier the freight is tendered to, because a bill of lading requires it, and with nobody else. Physical execution, transit performance and cargo liability rest with the carrier that moves the freight, within the limits set by its tariff. We are responsible for the classification, the booking, the accessorials declared, and for pursuing a claim on your behalf.
